Slobodan Gavranović, the Mayor of Banja Luka, gave the CEO of „Lanaco“, Nebojša Ninić, the permit to construct the technology center for software and hardware production in the “Business Zone”, a project worth 17 million KM.

“We want to assert this important project, which has the full support from the City of Banja Luka. The whole project was planned in a very responsible and professional manner by the “Lanaco” company, and everything was planned according to the law procedures, from the very idea to the permit”, said the Mayor.

The example of this extraordinary cooperation between the City and the investors will result in 550 jobs, 300 of which are new.

The “Lanaco” company CEO thanked the City of Banja Luka on its expediency. He said that he encountered nothing but understanding by the administration, which is very important to all investors.

“With securing the parcel and finances for construction, we are commencing the construction of the center, for which we planned the project for two years. The project is very complex and elaborate, because this is the first “smart building” in BiH, in which all the processes will be monitored and controlled by a software”, explained Ninić. In order to design the building, they collected experience, as he said, from all over Europe and USA, pointing out the great support of big companies, like “Microsoft”, “Schneider”, and many others.

The Future Center

The gross surface area of the future technology center is somewhere around 10 thousand square meters. The building will be constructed under power efficiency principles, i.e. the power loss reduction will be taken into account, as well as the efficient way of power usage and production.
